Introducing BronxRap.com’s Newest Teamate…To’mi

We did it just for you people….The ill new point guard on the BronxRap.com team and will be featured in the Reality Vs. Brutality category….Ladies & Gentlemen please meet To’mi…

I am a black female with nothing to prove but with everything to give! I come from a world of hardship that I am very grateful for, cause it turned me into who I am. (which is a fighter, not a survivor) I want to bring to the world of Bronx Rap my love and dedication for the R&B world as well as for the writing world. Words are my music and my music comes from my words; as you get to know me you will begin to understand that! I am an honest individual who uses my words to express myself. I don’t like being misunderstood, and growing up in the hood there is a lot of that. What I am going to bring to Bronxrap is a new way to understand the incomprehensible. Continue reading

NOVEMBER = HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH

HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH (As told to Fresh)

The Universal Zulu Nation calls on the World to recognize the whole month of November as

HIP HOP HISTORY MONTH! The official birthday of the Universal Zulu Nation is November 12, 1973.The official birthday of Hip Hop is November 12th, 1974.

With consideration to the above mentioned dates, nothing makes more sense than to celebrate Hip Hop culture and it’s history during November, which is exactly what the Universal Zulu Nation has been doing for over 27 + years. November is also significant in the fact that it kicks off the “indoor jam season”. The Hip Hop community jams, enjoyed outdoors in the parks, throughout the Summer, had to move indoors for about 7 months to community centers, gymnasiums, schools etc. for the Fall and Winter seasons. The Hip Hop World should recognize this month and pay tribute to those who laid the foundation and paved the way as well as to those who continue to preserve the rich tradition of the culture.
