The Word On The Street!

Hey good folks, what’s goin on! The streets (of the industry) have been buzzing this week about many things. First off, Kanye West recently got engaged and will be getting married soon.

According to People magazine, sources close to Kanye revealed to the magazine that the Chicago-bred rapper was overseas for two weeks recently, and that was where he popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, Alexis.

Alexis’ last name and occupation were not made available, but a different source stated that she was West’s girlfriend prior to his 2002 car accident.

That’s great but what happened to Brooke? (Damn Homie…)

In related news, Lil’ Kim’s lawyer L. Londell Mcmillian is denying that she recently got dropped from Atlantic records but did say” We are having discussions which I cannot confirm the details (of) at this time. However, we do wish Atlantic would release and simply free kim.” And??

Mya shot her video for her lead single “Ayo” produced by Chris “Deep” Henderson yesterday. This is off her new album “Liberation” in stores soon! This track is definitely a club banger, It is scheduled to impact radio August 21st.

Finally, the word is that Bad Boy/ Next Selection’s vocal powerhouse Cassie (I know, I Know) was on Hot 97 and during her interview she rated some of the men in the industry. She gave up the goodies on who tried to get at her (Bow Wow, Omarion) and told who could get it (sexually) (Pharrell). She also commented on Ciara saying that “people try to compare me to her but I’m nothing like her.” I agree, at least Ciara can perform and sing at the same time.
